I got fired.
This isn’t a late April Fools’ joke or a practical joke. I got fired from my temporary job.
I felt that my time at that place was coming to an end. It’s a very obvious and negative feeling. A disdain for everything and everyone begins to develop then comes the dip in motivation and productivity. After that, you start scrolling through job sites and forums for better opportunities that fit you. In my case, I searched for a better opportunity the moment I got the job because I knew that was not my end all be all job or industry. However, my disdain for my assignment was not the reason I was relieved of my position. It was my health. In the month of March, I missed 8 days of work because of doctors appointments, check-ups, blood work, sickness, pain, pain, and pain. Actually, 2 of the 8 days I missed because I work a festival that is in the industry I want to be a part of. As upsetting as being fired should be, I was relieved. Though I am embarrassed for being one of the only people I know to be fired, I am SO relieved. Now I can focus on turning The Glo Upp into the biggest entertainment company the world has ever seen, turning Hack+Tee into the cutest brand that I know they can be, and losing over 100lbs so my body can stop revolting against me. If i got fired for my health, why not focus on it?
That being said, if you or anyone you know is looking for part-time help or social media manager, hit ya girl up.
I still have to feed myself.
